First off, I struggle writing about myself sometimes, and it feels weird to me. But, I recently was given the opportunity to do an interview with Voyage Phoenix Magazine and I couldn't say no! Here's the link to the interview:
Today we’d like to introduce you to Dave Bentley.
Dave, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far. For me, it all started in the hills of Southwest Virginia. From the time I was a kid, I was always interested in photography, and always had a camera on me. This was back in the days of disposable cameras, and cheap 35mm cameras you could buy at any department store.
I took a darkroom course when I was in college, but I’m more or less self-taught, thanks to You Tube and countless internet articles. I’m constantly reading articles and watching videos on new techniques, and refreshers for the basics. In college is also when I bought my first digital camera. I can still remember it like it was yesterday, a 3.5mp Kodak Easyshare. With this camera, I primarily took photos of friends, events, and trips during college.
